DC Fandome Movie Reveals

by Ron Rego

August, 25, 2020

It was a very successful Fandome as DC had its' first digital Fandome. The important thing was that several movie reveals were noted and gave some hope to DC in the movie business. Aquaman 2, Shazam 2, and Black Adam were very simple teases and we all knew these were happening. I saw the first Auaman and Shazam and were excellent movies. We hope the sequels live up to them. DC also released full blown trailers for Wonder Woman 1984, The Batman, and the Zack Snyder cut of Justice League. I saw The Batman trailer and I am  skeptical about the movie, but, I think it looked like it could be decent. Still not sold on Pattinson. The world is waiting for the Snyder cut, so that goes without saying. Must see that. Wonder Women 1984 should be spectacular as the first was and remains one of the better DC movies. The trailer did give a glimpse of Cheetah fighting Wonder Woman in what will most likely be the films big scene. The Flash movie also was teased and will contain time travel elements similar to its comic book inspiration Flashpoint. Suicide Squad had a big day on the Fandome. Until now we didn't know much about the film, but now we know quite a bit. The cast announced is Michael Rooker as Savant, Idris Elba as Bloodsport (who is in prison for shooting Superman with a Kryptonite bullet), Peter Capaldi as The Thinker, Pete Davidson as Blackguard, Nathan Fillion as T.D.K., Sean Gunn as Weasel, and John Cena as Peacemaker. We got to see both BTS and actual movie footage, accompanied by cast and crew sound bites. In a big surprise to me was that they will be bringing Static Shock to a movie. One of the most prominent heroes of color is beginning to be developed. Director/producer Reginald Hudlin didn't give us any release date, cast members or storyline, but we look forward to learning more. What movie are you looking forward to most?

More and more info keeps being released at this long awaited version of Mortal Kombat. The latest announcement that Goro would in fact be in the movie and unlike the 1995 version, will not be a puppet. It will be entirely CGI made and joins many of the characters including Scorpion, Jax, Sub-Zero, Kano and more. No voice actor has been announced to play the roll of Goro. Goro and Shang Tsung will be major antagonists in the film, but director Simon McQuoid said that Sub-Zero will be the main viilain. Cole Young was also another character teased and is said to be involved in a major plot twist. The movie is due out April 16.

Walking Dead Movie Update

by Ron Rego

July 22,2020

We finally got news on the Rick Grimes Walking Dead movie. Walking Dead creator, Robert Kirkman said that the Pandemic gave them time to get the script right. The movie will bring us to what happened to Rick after his departure from the show. So that means, we will find out where he was taken and what happened to him. But for many of us, we want to know why he didn't try to get back. Remember, a lot of time has passed when he disappeared as Judith has grown many years and barely new who he was at all. Michonne is expected to join him at some point in the movie, as she left to search for him. Thei all comes back to the point I make about Rick appearing in the 12th and final season of TWD. If that is the last season. Kirkman told reporters that "Don't  think we are just waiting around for this pandemic to end. It has given us time to cook this thing and make sure it's perfect." We all can't wait for the movie as well as season 10.
